Guide to Shift Human Civilization to an “Eden”

May or may-not expand on this more later. Just a basic idea I’ve been thinking about this morning. I have personal opinions on how these should be weighted by importance, but I’m not dumb enough to believe I understand the world well enough to know best.

*model from nature I’m trying to emulate is a functioning, living creature.

In this representation a governmental body and taxation are critical components which determine health of the system and allocate funds where necessary. I don’t like the current distribution of funds. I’m also thinking long-term rather than short-term – indefinite or forever terms rather than human years

Where to spend taxes collected:

  • Infrastructure development and maintenance
    • Water and Food
    • Shelter
    • Emergency Services
    • Power distribution
    • Health Facilities
    • Transportation
      • emphasis on public transportation
    • Communication
    • “Raw” Land maintenance
  • Education   ***higher resource allocation = higher future production capabilities
    • Human Heritage (takes place of HISTORY as HISTORY has been used to brainwash/manipulate for profit)
      • subset of animal – not understanding this leads to unmanageable labels
        • objective: survive! leftover time goes to reproduction efforts
          • desire for wealth is a human expression of squirrels hiding nuts or large predators staking out territory, hoarding resources for personal/progeny’s survival
        • survival before tools: migration, persistence hunting, gathering
        • advanced pattern recognition led to advanced tools (clothing, fishing, fire, cell phones, manipulation of minds and environments)
    • Community Service
      • contribution (if you use a toilet you need to be willing to clean one occasionally)
      • lessen future vandalism (those who help maintain community resources are less likely to harm them)
    • Derived Sciences
      • math
      • biology
      • chemistry
      • physics
    • Physical Fitness (big movement)
      • healthy populations consume less resources than unhealthy populations (preventative measures)
      • lengthens duration of productive years
    • Innovation (fine movement)
      • arts: music, crafting, creation
      • mechanics: comfort with tools, building, creation
      • computer science: components, usage, programming
  • Amenities
    • large- and small-scale community events
    • life-enriching products/service
    • PSAs not biased by profit

Other general ideas

  1. Make local communities as self-reliant as possible, providing all services and amenities required per Federal guidelines. If government-funded communities cannot be sustained at adequate levels affordably, peoples should be relocated.
  2. Shift all businesses to non-profits (make “for-profit” business ventures less-desirable)
  3. Industries need to understand all chemicals being consumed and produced and charge enough upon sale to cover costs to reverse buildups. (overhaul recycling programs)
  4. Local taxes should reflect the strain or reliance on infrastructure or outside support. (harsh environments require more resources to maintain)
