Born into a middle-class LDS (Mormon) family. The youngest of 4 children and only son. While I never really had a period of belief in my family’s faith, I didn’t quit attending church until I was 20, and it wasn’t until a few years ago I began questioning all the knowledge and traditions I grew up in.
I’ve reached a point where I try to challenge all of my beliefs in order to get a better understanding of my experiences. Due to this, there are things I believe which I think are more tested and therefore closer to the truth than many ways people explain life.
I don’t believe in free-will or that the future can be altered. I don’t know of an energy that influences my body and alters it’s function that isn’t a natural universal process. I developed as a direct result of my environment and genetics interacting. The way I think and the choices I make are a result of an environment beyond my control.
